Bus hits high tension wire in Ghazipur, many people burnt alive

A major accident has occurred in Ghazipur, UP. Fire broke out due to high tension wire falling on the bus. Many were burnt alive due to this. According to unconfirmed reports, 25 people have become victims of the accident. So far, officials are talking about killing six people. The bus was returning from a wedding ceremony. The accident happened in Mardah. Many officials including DM and SP of the district have reached the spot. The bus was coming to Mahahar Dham in Mardah with a wedding procession from Kopaganj in Mau. During this time, an accident occurred with the bus coming through the unpaved road. There were more than 35 people in the bus.

CM Yogi has expressed grief over the accident. Officials have been instructed to carry out relief and rescue operations expeditiously. Burnt people are being sent to hospitals. Many people are also being sent to hospitals in Mau. After the accident, people kept watching the bus burning from a distance due to high-tension wire and electric current. The electricity department was informed about switching off the electricity. Only after it was confirmed that the electricity was off, people reached the bus and somehow the fire could be controlled.

According to Varanasi DIG OP Singh, the bus filled with wedding guests met with an accident due to being hit by a high-tension wire. DM and SP of Ghazipur are on the spot and are engaged in relief work. The injured have been sent to the hospital. So far five people have been reported dead. The number of injured is being ascertained.
